Want to rent a holiday home in Belgium?

Belgium, sometimes called the heart of Europe, is a beautiful and versatile holiday country. From coastal to hilly inland. The land of chocolate and abbey beer. The land of Walloon and Flemish. In short, you can see and encounter many different sides of the country during your holiday. But, to give you as many good ideas as possible, here are a few tips to make your holiday in Belgium an unforgettable experience.

The best cities in Belgium

Belgium has many famous and less known cities. Of course Brussels is one of the better known cities. Brussels, where the European Parliament is located, is a real metropolis. Because there is so much to do and experience. Visit the Atomium, see Manneke (and Jeanneke)Pis, discover the Belgian Strip-Musuem and stroll through one of the many parks in the city. You can easily fill several days here, so a visit to Brussels is definitely recommended!

Diamond city Antwerp

Another very famous city in Belgium is of course Antwerp. The capital of the diamond trade is full of fun and interesting sights. For example, visit one of the museums, such as the Rubens House. Or visit Antwerp ZOO, where you can see all kinds of exotic animals. Antwerp is just like Brussels a city where you can easily walk around for a day.

The beautiful Bruges

A third city that certainly deserves a visit is Bruges. Bruges is a city on the North Sea coast with beautiful old architecture and cosy streets. But Bruges still has two good secrets to uncover. First of all, Brewery Halve Maan, where the famous 'Brugse Zot' beer is brewed. Here you can get a guided tour and of course drink the most delicious beers. And the second secret is the Chocolate Museum. Belgian chocolate is of course delicious, but it can also be very interesting. Discover in this museum all about this delicious candy!

Nature in Belgium

Belgium also has several beautiful nature reserves and natural sites. Take, for example, the Ardennes. This beautiful area is characterized by hills, forests, caves and rivers. Discover here where you can find the nature of Belgium.

The High Fens

In the German-speaking part (yes, there is) of Belgium are the High Fens. This nature reserve is an offshoot of the Ardennes and the German Eiffel and, as the name suggests, consists mainly of high moorland. It is an area where you can hike beautifully, but where you can also ski and cross-country ski in the winter!

The beautiful Ardennes

We already mentioned the Ardennes, but when we're talking about nature in Belgium, we can't help but elaborate a bit further on this area. The Ardennes are the place to be for holiday makers! You can do all sorts of things here! There are beautiful hiking areas, there are a lot of climbing possibilities and the rivers that flow through the area make it a very good place to go canoeing. In short, in the Ardennes you can enjoy nature in many ways.
